A Film Through A Cell Phone Camera

'Veena Vaadanam' is an Indian documentary film in digital format, from Kerala duration with 26mins. The film is a first experimental work which shot a mobile phone in india. Nokia N70 music edition mobile phone was fully used to capture the film. Sathish Kalathil is the director of the film.

The film narrates about the origin- growth-and the evolution of world famous paintings through a conversation with a budding artist Sujith Aalungal and introduce a painting of him named 'Veena Vaadanan'. And, the film released in 2008.

Dr. B. Jayakrishnan narrates the film. Sunil A.D is the cinematographer and Babuji (Baburaj Puthur) composed music. In the documentary, Included a song Varakal Vaachaala Kadhakal...Kaalam Chollum Charithra Kadhakal...based on the era of the origin painting. The song written by Surya (Sathish Kalathil) and sung by Dr. B. Jayakrishnan.

The film Preview held on 20.07.2008 at Hotel Elite International, Thrissur. The Preview ceremony inaugurated by Komalam, mother of Sathish Kalathil. Veena Vaadanam CD released by Ambily and received the copy T.K. Vasudevan noted Film Directors in Malayalam.
K.V.Sadanandan, SNDP Dist. Administrator presided the function. B.Asok Kumar, Asst.Engineer, Akasavani, Dr.K.G.Mohan (Painter), Dr.Thayyil Radhakrishnan are participated in the function. 
Veena Vaadanam was certified by Indian Central Board of Film Certification and issued Censor certificate On 25.09.2008 and it telecasted in TCV Channel on 05-June-2010.
